The TAMS Steering Committee, composed of a rotating roster of tribal air professionals and others, meets regularly to discuss tribal air-management needs and determine the Center's tribal-support efforts. The Steering Committee also relays to EPA and other officials tribal concerns regarding air management. Committee members are elected for two-year, staggered terms and are eligible for re-election. Candidates are nominated by their peers or they can nominate themselves. Members are selected based on their experience and availability and attempt to maintain the broadest possible regional representation. Nominations are accepted yearly in June.
