Welcome to the Northern Arizona University Trombone and Euphonium Studio!

Here you will find information about studio activities, some of Professor Vining’s teaching strategies, how to audition and much more.

At NAU, trombone and euphonium students are challenged to reach their full potential regardless of their major.  Lesson content is tailored to each individual student and a premium is placed on making music at the highest level.

Performing opportunities are wide ranging and comprehensive, including The Wind Symphony, the NAU Symphony Orchestra, the NAU Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensembles and Combos, Trombone Choir and Chamber Ensembles of all kinds.

Additional offerings include Orchestral Excerpt Class, Pedagogy Class, Studio Class and Body Mapping, a powerful learning tool based upon somatic awareness and anatomical accuracy.
