To apply to the NAU trumpet studio, you must complete TWO applications; one for the University and one for the School of Music. Here are links to each application: http://www.cal.nau.edu/music/auditions.asp |
The other part of the application process is to play an audition for Professor Dunn. This may be done in person (preferred) or by mailing a recording. To arrange an audition, please call the band office at (928)523-3413 or send an e-mail expressing your interest to: symphonicwinds@NAU.EDU Audition dates for students beginning in Fall 2008 are: January 19 |

Audition format:
The first half of the audition will consist of playing your prepared selections. The second half is a mini-lesson with Dr. Dunn during which students will receive suggestions on their playing. Part of the entrance requirement is to be receptive to suggestions and interested in improvement. Auditions may last anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes.
