The Academic Standards Committee (ASC) is a subcommittee of the Faculty Senate established to review undergraduate policies and ensure the academic standards of the University are maintained while recognizing that special circumstances may occasionally merit an exception to policy.

Exceptions to undergraduate academic policy are allowed only when there are documented extenuating circumstances that have had a negative impact on a student’s ability to adhere to university policy.

Undergraduate students can review the links to the left for more information on exceptions.

Graduate Students requesting a waiver to university policy should contact the subcommittee of the University Graduate Committee (UGC).

Further information regarding the UGC may be found at:  http://home.nau.edu/gradcol/gradcommittee.asp
