Women's Studies
Academic Programs

Our course of study develops critical and independent
thinking, reading and writing skills through the evaluation of inter
disciplinary, multi-ethnic and international scholarship on women's lives,

struggles and contributions. In WGS classes, students will analyze sex and gender roles and identities, explore women's histories and realities, and examine feminist theories and methodologies. A Women's Studies degree will help students understand and examine the ways race, class, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation and age shape gender realities.
