Women's and Gender Studies
Steering Committee

NAU’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program is governed
by a Steering Committee, composed of the Director, tenure~track
faculty, seven affiliated faculty members, a representative of the teaching

faculty, a student representative and the office administrator. All core Women’s Studies faculty serve on the committee; affiliates are elected or rotate onto the Steering Committee.

Policy decisions are made by the Steering Committee and its subcommittees. The Steering Committee also approves the hiring of core and teaching faculty who teach in the Program and approves applications for Women’s and Gender Studies affiliate status.
