Communications Expertise
Expert communicators deliver all of PCG’s programs and services. They are scholars and leaders in the fields of written and oral communication, and professional development.
Roger Bacon, Ph.D. (English), Coordinator of Northern Arizona University’s undergraduate program in technical writing. Roger has consulted for business and government for two decades. He specializes in business organizational writing and environmental document preparation, including compliance to the National Environmental Policy Act (N.E.P.A.). Roger is a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication and the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing.
Kelly Belanger, Ph.D. (Composition and Rhetoric), Associate Professor of English, University of Wyoming. Dr. Belanger, author of Teaching Writing to Working Adults, specializes in teaching writing to working professionals in both school and work settings. In her thirteen years of teaching, she has both taught and administered writing programs at the university, and at conferences and worksites throughout the nation.
Lawrence Clark, Ph.D. (English), Assistant Professor of English, University of Houston-Victoria. Dr. Clark has fourteen years experience in teaching writing, specializing in technical communication, in both university and corporate settings. He has developed and taught courses in scientific, engineering, and technical communication. His other areas of professional interest include online information design, and business, and professional writing. He is especially active in teaching writing via the web and through hypertext.
Marcie Delmotte, M.P.A. (Public Administration), Director of Opportunities, Center for Professional and Technical Writing, and the Professional Communications Group at Northern Arizona University. Ms Delmotte is an expert in grant proposal and report writing, and is the author of published articles on public policy. Her experience includes producing public relations and marketing publications, copy writing, media relations (including press releases), speaking engagements, and presentations.
Greg Larkin, Ph.D. (English), Director, Center for Professional and Technical Writing and the Professional Communications Group at Northern Arizona University. The former Director of Proposals at GTE Government Systems and author of Working Writing, Greg has designed and delivered workshops and seminars to dozens of clients. Dr. Larkin has been the director of the Northern Arizona Writing Project (NAWP) for the past decade. He also helped develop Northern Arizona University's M.A. program in the areas of rhetoric and writing.
John Rothfork, Ph.D. (English), Technology Mediated Designer for the Professional Communications Group at Northern Arizona University. For fifteen years, Dr. Rothfork edited the New Mexico Humanities Review and is the recipient of three Fulbright awards. John has consulted with the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institutes of Technology to develop programs in technical communications. He has authored over fifty articles on writing and topics in English, and conducted workshops for such clients as the Pantex national laboratory. He is coordinator of NAU’s Technical and Professional Writing Certificate Program, and has delivered online courses and workshops for several years.
